During his teenage years, Jabba realized he could carry a note and moved to Kingston after graduating from high school in 1988. Jabba was introduced to a dancehall DJ who encouraged him to become an entertainer. Jabba started writing dancehall lyrics but never performed until he came to the U.S. in 1992. Jabba's brother, Lynval Jackson, introduced him to the local Minneapolis Reggae music scene and is also on a single of Jabba's Loverman CD.

Prince Jabba’s captivating voice, engaging stage presence and provocative energy have established him as one of the hottest performers to take the stage in years. Prince Jabba is known for his outstanding voice for dancehall music, featuring a host of memorable originals, and he shares a stellar reggae voice from the heart of roots reggae.
